Our Annual Events
The Dansville Dogwood Festival occurs each year in May during the week following Mother's Day. Community based activities and events occur from Monday through Sunday.
The Dogwood International Film Festival continues to grow and develop since its creation five years ago. This special event now takes place during the month of May, featuring four films at The Star Theatre.
The Dansville Summer Concert Series is a summer tradition here in Dansville. People gather Monday evenings from June through August to enjoy the talented musicians from the western NY area.
Another annual tradition in our community, the Tractor Pull takes place each July. Spectators and participants come from all over the area to enjoy the sights and sounds of this event.
The Dansville Chalk Walk got its start last year thanks to the dedication of several downtown business owners and has transpired since into a special one day event in July.
The Poag's Hole Hillclimb is a nationally recognized event bringing thousands of spectators to a motorcycle event like nothing you have ever seen before. The event takes place in August but has participants working all year to be able to spend a Saturday afternoon trying to conquer the hill.
The New York State Festival of Balloons is one of the most anticipated events by countless people in the western NY region. Tens of thousands of people come together over Labor Day Weekend to participate in this spectacular event.
Created by business owners in the historic downtown district of Dansville, Kidding Around Downtown is a family friendly event offering a wide array of activities and opportunities for the community and visitors to the NYS Festival of Balloons.
A tradition that seems to continue to grow and thrive with each year, the Winter in the Village event takes place the first Saturday in December. A combination of a well attended wine tasting tour with musical and dance performances, a visit from Santa and Mrs Claus as well as holiday shopping opportunities are just a few of the many highlights of this annual tradition.
